Captain Dan’s Guest Book

I’m rarely moved to high praise but, for the record, my cruise last June around Newport Bay on the Gitana with Captain Dan Hardcastle was nothing less than a wondrous experience. The boat is large and splendidly outfitted. It approaches sea faring heaven. Captain Dan and his crew were the souls of hospitality, cordiality, seamanship and high humor. I highly and unequivocally recommend a charter on the Gitana.

We were very happy with our day of sailing with Captain Dan. I planned the sail for my husband’s birthday and he was thrilled. Captain Dan had him at the wheel as much as he liked and we all had a wonderful, relaxing time out on the water. We didn’t have a lot of wind that day, but it didn’t really matter – we had fun motoring around when the sails wouldn’t fill. The boat is gorgeous and Dan and Lynn were great company too.

I cant wait till summer to be back on Captain Dans sail boat,,,,,,,,an experience not to be forgotten..!!! Quiet, colorful, serene a magic carpet ride on the ocean !! When my mind is racing,,with nonsense of the day !!!! I pretend to be sailing,,,,,,,,,,,,,far far away. Fun was had by all,,,,,shall we all meet there again !!!!! Thank You Danny !!!!

I had the complete pleasure of sailing on the Gitana last summer. It was my first sailing experience so I was a little nervous. Captain Dan put me at ease right away and I soon was completely relaxed. The beauty of the sail boat combined with the beautiful scenery made for one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. I look forward to planning another sail this summer!
