Your sailing adventure begins with Captain Dan and crew meeting you at the dock. After helping you on board and stowing your gear below, Gitana will ease out of her slip and sail out the Mystic River to the open waters of Fischer Island Sound. It is here that the fun begins. We hoist the main sail, unfurl the jib, shut down the diesel engine, and begin sailing the wind.
Depending on whether you have elected a day sail (approximately 6 hours) or an evening sunset cruise (2 hours), you can choose your destination or simply “sail the wind”. Delectable snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary. A catered lunch can be secured at a minimal cost.
After lunch, we can anchor off Flat Hammock Island, dinghy into shore, and enjoy a refreshing swim. After which, we will weigh anchor, sail up the Mystic river and quietly ease Gitana back into her slip.
